A light red "clairet" made in an old school kinda way. Is it a red? Yes. Or is it also a deep rosé, yes that too! Lower acid and a medicinal cherry Robitussin note, it stays fresh and soft, with just enough mineral depth. Versatile and unassuming, it is a vehicle for easy-drinking pleasure. Vinifications here are straightforward and no-nonsense compared to more “modern” estates in Bordeaux, with native yeasts carrying out all fermentations in tank before being racked into a combination of new and used oak barrels where the wines rest for up to 18 months depending on the cuvée.
