Il Sasso is a breath of fresh air in Valpolicella. A welcoming open to dark fruits, pepper and tobacco on the nose. Vegetal notes peak through and compliment the orchestra of juicy fruit. The palate follows in-suit with approachable tannins. A beautiful youthful version of a classic for those wishing to dip their toes into Northern Italian reds.
30% whole cluster. Grapes are hand harvested and carefully and carefully sorted before undergoing spontaneous fermentation. Wines are bottled unfined/unfiltered and with little sulfur after 12 months stainless steel and 6 months in bottle. Low SO2 added.
