Tsolikouri
If Rkatsiteli is a white grape from East Georgia, then Tsolikouri is a white grape from West Georgia.
Although Imereti is a difficult area for many grapes due to its high humidity, Tsolikouri is planted all over Imereti because of its relatively thick skin and resistance to fungal diseases.
Most Tsolikouri are cultivated in Imereti and Glia, but also in Racha-Lechkhumi, Samegrelo and Adjara.
The notes of soft acidity and citrus fruits have melon and subtle floral aromas, giving a smooth yet complex taste.
