Merlot and Syrah
This terrific Syrah/Merlot blend shows cassis, spice, vanilla and even a bit of almond skin on the nose. Dry and medium bodied on the palate, with berries and peppery spice, it refreshes with a slightly citrus tang and soft tannins. Deceptively easy-going and smooth, the Majas rose is a joy to drink, on its own, or with simple fare, such as grilled chicken, and I dare say, burgers, if you find it absolutely too hot for a red.
