Varietals: 49% Viognier, 43% Pinot gris and 8% Muscat

Farming: Organic, Unfined/Unfiltered, Low added SO2

This wine elicits endless depth and character. Grapefruit pithy texture and juicy cider apples are complimented by notes of fennel, flora and dried herbs. 

I named it Tears of Vulcan because I was thinking of really the only thing Sicily and Oregon have in common, volcanic soils. Thus the god of volcanoes graces the label."

The fruit was on its skins for all of primary fermentation; 23 days. Then it was pressed and went through elevage in in 90% neutral French oak, 5% new French oak, and 5% new Acacia.
