2020 - Pinot Noir
Undoubtedly one of the finest Pinots de Loire that we have drunk here ... To have in two copies; one for thirst and one for custody! A great wine ...Raspberries, black berries and red citrus acidity plays well into a schist-y, stony finish. Lithe, clean and for those who enjoy fresh, natural, even naked Pinot.
Hand harvested selectively from 30 year old vines. Spontaneous fermentation with whole-cluster with natural yeasts. The wine completes semi-carbonic maceration in a combination of steel and resin tanks. Aging takes place on the fine lees in vats and barrels (50/50) and then bottled without SO2.
