Ripe plum on the nose, grapefruit on the palate. Balance, structure, gorgeous color. This wine was co-fermented as whole clusters in open top fermenters. The wine was on the skins for about a month and then aged in neutral barrel. There is lychee, potpourri, roses, peach, stone fruit and orange blossom. One of the most interesting wines I’ve tried in a very long time.
The grapes are grown in Yakima, Washington, and Salem, Oregon. Swick Wines Only Zuul is fermented spontaneously, unfined, unfiltered, low sulfites (total 30 mg/L)
Varietals: 50% skin-contact pinot gris, 50% skin-contact gewürztraminer
Farming: Organic, Unfiltered/Unfined, Low added sulfites
if you see this, buy it. you won't regret it.
Amazing and refreshing; not enough words to describe the complexity of this wine and how easy it is to enjoy. Gluggable.
