The sandy loess soils produce a balanced style of wine that wields both lightness and creaminess, with an earthy minerality that lingers. Aged for just 6 months on the lees, the wines are able to find a natural stability and genuine expression of itself before bottling. With as little intervention as possible in both the vines and the winery, the Grauburgunder achieves a marvelous and delightful version of itself in this Pfalz terroir - salty, fluffy, and fresh with a fine acidic backbone.
