2020 - 50% Dornfelder, 33% Zweigelt, 17% blend of secret white varieties
Ink-black, with low tannins, low alcohol, and high drinkability. Amarena cherry, sweet spices, juicy finish. Best served chilled, with just about any easy meal.
The grapes are hand-harvested and gently destemmed. The red grapes undergo classical maceration on skins, with gentle punch-downs in open-top vats, then rest in old 600L oak barrels for a bit less than a year. Blended with whites at bottling, for extra lift. Zero sulfur added, unfined, unfiltered.
