Chardonnay
This is a powerful and age-worthy wine, with all the savory, nutty and saltiness we expect from sous voile Jura wines. Melon a Queue Rouge is a Jura variety that may or may not be a clone of Chardonnay, with a stem that turns red as the grape ripens.
This cuvée, again from a single vineyard in Montigny, is aged for one year in large foudres at which point it is then racked into smaller barrel for an additional three years “sous voile”. Unfined/Unfiltered.
