An old-school grower near the town of Primošten, Neno Marinov works his 2ha of vineyards by hand the same way his father taught him. Only meters above sea level, the local Babić grape is planted in small dry stone compartments called “suhozid” with 3-4 plants each. This retains enough water to help the vines survive the hot summer sun, and also inspires the new hipster label on his funky, earthy, but very clean and light take on this very special grape.
