The color starts as a deep ruby then leans into black. Violets and plum jam dominate on the nose, with red strawberries and raspberries, white pepper and rosewater on the palate. Tannic and rich. Made from free run juice only. Tertiary notes include dried tobacco and green-peppers. Clean and sharp on the palate, represents quality unequivocally. Intensity is present and it augments until potential. Enjoyable aromas are lasting, you can feel the strength and the potency behind the silkiness.
Csaba Malatinszky was the first person to re-introduce Cabernet Franc to the Villány wine region in the 1990s, after the fall of communism. The region is now world-famous for its Cabernet Francs, and Malatinszky's "Noblesse" estate selection from 2016 is a great example of the variety. Spontaneously fermented with native yeasts, and aged in new and second-use 500 L Hungarian oak for 12 months. Unfiltered/ Unfined
