"This Santa Cruz Mountains AVA Chardonnay is sourced from PM Staiger Vineyard (66%) and Toyon Vineyard (34%). PM Staiger Vineyard was planted in the early 60's on Decomposed Monterey Schist soils outside of Boulder Creek. This own-rooted, old vineyard produces wines that have depth, vivacity and minerality. Toyon Vineyard was planted on a melange of siltstone and sandstone in the Soquel Hills. Only 400 feet above the Monterey Bay, this vineyard is impacted by cool ocean winds and cloud cover. The wines from Toyon Vineyard showcase bright acidity and a fresh ocean air salinity. The cuvée from these two vineyards shows all the depth and concentration of cool climate Chardonnay, with textural mineral components and immense energy on the palate. " Organic
