The culty label Lillian from the one and only Maggie Harrison (Sine Qua Non and Antica Terra) is always off the charts. Lillian, on the other hand, is a fruit-driven, welcoming and light as well as elegant wine. However, it has plenty of the classic Syrah characteristics such as black berries, ripe fruit and pepper, but without overshadowing the classic Lillian style features. This wine epitomizes how elegant a California Syrah can be.

Explosive aromas of candied dark berries, incense, violet and patchouli, with woodsmoke, olive and Asian spice nuances adding complexity. Lush, palate-coating black and blue fruit compote flavors are energized by bright spice and mineral notes. Picks up candied violet and licorice notes on the sweet, impressively long finish, which is given grip by late-arriving tannins. With its suave marriage of power and energy, this is precision incarnate.
