100% Gamay. These are the estate's oldest Gamay vines; at 80-100 years, they are ungrafted and are organically farmed and harvested by hand. Gama Sutra is made like other Vins Contés reds: semi-carbonic maceration with whole clusters layered in closed tanks with CO2; fermentation with indigenous yeasts only; aging in used barrel unlike most of the other reds; bottling without fining or filtration in early spring after harvest; no sulfur added at any point.
