This wine comes from purchased fruit in the Vallée du Cher. Orbois is the local name for Menu Pineau. 2/3 of the grapes are direct pressed and fermented and aged on the lees in 20hl concrete eggs. 1/3 is macerated for 15-20 days and fermented and aged on the lees in a small concrete egg. A small amount of S02 is added at racking and bottling.
The wine shows a bright gold/bronze color and aromas of lemon zest, almond, caramel, honeysuckle, dried pear and apricot.
