Herbal characteristics on top of pulpy blueberries, licorice, and raw beets. Fine tannins provide nice structure and texture. Surprising a little more tannic than what you would expect from a chill-able red. Enjoy the day after for less funk.
Made in the family’s garage in open-top cement bathtubs, this is the epitome of “non-interventionist” winemaking. The estate lies in the high elevation valley of Grotte, where Nero d’Avola escapes the many issues associated with humidity and excess heat. 1800 bottles imported into the US.
