The family has been making wine here for several generations, and Benoit has gradually taken over the vineyards since the mid 1990s. Today, the property comprises about fifteen hectares (37.5 acres) of Pouilly Fumé, Pouilly sur Loire and Coteaux du Giennois on various types of soil. This Pouily Fume comes kimmeridgian marl (Tiny oyster marl) soil on the right hand side of the Loire. This soil yields Pouilly Fumé wines with complex aromas which continue to develop
