The Name... Enfier d’Arvier means the “hell of Arvier,” a reference to the intense heat of this vineyard site in summer. It has a compelling rusticity with a wild berry impression and a lively freshness on the palate. Hypnotically aromatic. Deeply pitched and rustic while simultaneously crunchy, spicy and animated. Production at the Thomain estate is approximately 2500 bottles per year
After total destemming, wine ferments spontaneously in fiberglass and stainless-steel tanks for two weeks. Wines age in stainless-steel tanks for 9 months. Wines remain on lees until assemblage prior to bottling. Unfined/Unfiltered. Small dose of SO2 at bottling.
