COS Frappato is a pure delight. Light ruby colored in the glass, the aroma has a pretty perfume of wild flowers, red berry blossoms and herbal spices. In the mouth, flavors of raspberry, orange peel and sweet spices emerge with subtle acidity and soft tannins. Theres beautiful freshness and vibrancy in every sip and at 11.5 alcohol, this is a great wine to put a light chill on.
Hand-harvested. Vines average 15 years of age. Spontaneous fermentation in concrete tanks on the skins with indigenous yeast. Eight months in concrete vats followed by three months in the bottle before release. 40 pp sulfites in the finished wine.
