The 'Brutal' wine has an intensely fragrant aroma, boasting notes of ripe red pear, honey, and fragrant orange blossom. In addition, the wine features nuances of lightly smoked meats, herbs, and wet stones. On the palate, this deep wine showcases a delightful mix of fresh acidity and mild tannins. The pleasantly sweet fruit flavors on the palate are balanced nicely by a zesty mineral note. Well integrated nuances of honey and toasted oak complete the experience. The wine then finishes with a long and finely tuned finish.
Grapes are hand harvested, destemmed, and crushed by foot. The juice ferments in 2 large barrels with indigenous yeast and no racking. It spends 1 year aging in barrel and is bottled without fining or filtering and no addition of sulfur.
