Cherry color, with some woody notes that do not dominate the fruit. Tannin and acidity is well integrated. On the nose, kiss of spice with inviting notes of a rich wine that translate to the palate but in a much more demure sense. Dry with tannin. A meatier style red wine for those who dislike anything too intense, but still want some fruit. Fermented with skins for 5 days. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out in stainless steel. 70% is aged 5 months in 3-4 year old American and French oak. The remaining wine rests for 5 months in stainless steel. Low added SO2.
