This wine is grown in the green hills of Umbria and the Barberani family has learned over the decades how to coax the best out of their fruit. Each of the wines we have tasted from this winery has been delightful and priced fairly. The Polago is a blend of Sangiovese and Montepulciano, two grapes they have loved to work with. They join elegance and drinkability with character and personality. It is ruby red with scents of berries and is vivid, fruity, and lively.
