2018 Croatina and Barbera Are you looking for funky wine? This one is my answer! Marco Rizzardi works high above Emilia out of the appellation, on limestone soils in an Alpine-like climate. He makes stunningly elegant wines. All of them. The work is mostly in the traditional referments of the area but this one is calm, still, thoughtful. Raised in stainless and glass, full of acid and yum quotient. Savory and compelling. A wine in the full side without being a punch in the nose, instead it puts a smile on the face.
