A clean and precise expression of the organic Babić fruit, with dark cherry, blackcurrant and a gentle hint of warm spice. Imagine a full bodied tannic grape done in a more toned down juicier version. This cuvée comes from a single vineyard close to the 16th century Fort Andreis that protected the region from Ottoman invasions and now gives the wine its name.
35% of the grapes are given a quick 6-hour maceration and 65% are given a deeper, 4-day maceration. 30% fermented in neutral oak and 70% in polyethylene. Unfined/Unfiltered with a touch of SO2.
