Grenache
The 2020 Abandoned Meander (a label uniquely dedicated to vineyards that are going the way of the Dodo, never to be seen again; vines destined to be replanted, grafted, or ripped out entirely) is from the last remaining vines from a former 3.5 acre parcel of Grenache at Lost Hills Ranch. I have taken to grafting away this block in the Yorkville Highlands appellation, piece by piece, to a trio of related varieties from northern Italy/Austria/Germany. This is the block's ever so sherbert-y pink swan song. Organic
