2020 - Montepulciano
Rosso from this vineyard, Cancellato X is roughly 20% of the 2019 wine blended with the fresh, free-run juice of the 2020 vintage. The resulting wine is a split screen of bright acidity and some darker tones from the older base wine. Red currants and strawberries are prominent on the palate and the typical richness of Montepulciano shows as a kind of added layer of succulence and deliciousness without making the wine heavy.
Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in stainless steel tanks until bottling in the Spring. No filtering or fining.
