These vintage releases from Foursquare just keep getting "more". More intensity of flavor, more wood spice, more fruit, more pot still character shining through, and in this case, a little more ABV as well. That extra proof doesn't express itself with heat though, just a greater depth. Notes of treacle, juicy tart berries, classic Foursquare apple, intense and long lasting wood spice (nutmeg, mace, clove), creamy nougat, coconut, raisin, a slight jolt of wood tannin to balance the fruit and sweetness, and a hint of rummy hogo.
