Medium-bodied, dry. A cloudy red-rose color with noticeable sediment at the bottom, Forlorn is a pure expression of red and pink fruit with nothing added except the necessary sulfur at bottling. The nose, palate, and finish is taut, vivacious, and satisfying with hints of cranberry, melon, rose hips, passion fruit, and limestone. Harvested By hand. Whole-cluster pressed to old 60-gallon barrels where it awaits spontaneous fermentation and sits on the lees for several weeks through malo and until bottling.
