Zorjan is a small biodynamic estate in Slovenia’s Stajerska region. Fuller medium bodied, deep colored wine from seven days of skin contact. Božidar Zorjan, the winemnaker was way ahead of the curve, in 1995 started converting into biodynamic and organic farming, and aging some of his wines in amphorae.    Riesling here is chewy,and textured. With citrus & fresh herbs on the nose, and underbrush of spicy fruit. So lawyered. This wine wasn’t fermented in amphora, but instead sees 14 days on the skins in large oak barrels.
