Great aromas of lemon zest and fresh flowers, this has the mature, burnished feel you’d expect from a 1990, with excellent cut to its candied citrus, chamomile and dried pineapple flavors. Long, stony finish, alluring smoky hint. Totally delectable. Quince, pine cone air freshener, lime cordial, sugared almonds. Salty minerality and green grape freshness both keep it feeling young. Very pure and finessed. Sweet, but skillfully balanced. Love it. Only Aged Chenin can provide me this much satisfaction. The wine is braced by an acidity which will easily see it through another decade, but be warned the cork preserving it will not last that long.
