2020 - Montepulciano
A rich, textural and sinewy rosato wine, the Damigiana is drawn from the oldest and highest parcel on the property, San Desiderio. Opening with a slightly meaty, animalistic nose (remember, these wines need time and air), the wine mutates into a swirling pool of tart red berries, green strawberry and red currants. Plenty of heft and structure here, this is a wine destined for the dinner table.
100% Montepulciano d’Abruzzo direct press from San Desiderio vineyard. Spontaneous fermentation. Aged in 54 liter damigiana until bottling in the Spring. Malolactic fermentation in bottle. Zero sulfur additions and no filtering or fining.
