Vintage: 2019
Grape Varietal: Sangiovese, with a touch of Canaiolo
Farming: Organic, Biodynamic
Chiesamonti is from single 1.3-hectare parcel called Chiesa Monti, where the 10-year-old vines consist of almost all Sangiovese with a touch of Canaiolo. Due to the stony nature of the soil here, this wine has a linear and granular tannin. Silkier, higher-toned, and overall prettier, with a more blatant mineral underpinning and less sumptuously fleshy fruit. It spends two years in Stockinger barrels, just like its sister wine, and it comprises nearly entirely Sangiovese, with just a touch of Canaiolo.
