Great springtime red. Juicy red fruits, crisp crunchy tannin, touch of fruit sweetness, little chill, smash it back happy days. Touch of green herb and pepper through the finish amongst the squishy berries and refreshing acidity. Ludicrously smashable red wine here.
The Porepunkah Shiraz was fermented separately, basket pressed after seven days while still fermenting and transferred to stainless steel. The rest of the grapes were co-fermented, whole berries and about 10% whole-cluster. These were left to ferment and pressed after roughly 10 days. The two wines were then blended together while finishing ferment. Two rackings and aging in tank for roughly four months.
