2016 - Blaufränkisch
Cool aromas of blueberry and flint on the nose with ample and juicy fruit on the palate. Silky and lush in texture with a pleasantly herbal finish and well integrated acidity. A steal at the price, and great example of a lesser known grape.
Hareter uses homemade compost and teas for fertilizing and foregoes irrigation- keeping the vineyard green to encourage biodiversity, and limits sulfur and fining in the bottle. Fermentation: Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel followed by 21 days of maceration on the skins and malolactic fermentation. Aging: 15 months in large oak barrels prior to bottling. Unfined/Unfiltered.
