Started by natural viticulturist Guy Bossard, and now in the hands of Fred Niger, Domaine de l'Ecu produces one of the most iconic wines in the Loire Valley. From 25-30 year old vines of Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is more a expression of the delicateness of Cabernet rather that a big robust fruit bomb. Farmed biodynamically, soils are worked, all fruit is hand-harvested. Semi-carbonic maceration, no addition of sulfur.
