Cristiana Meggiolaro, Veneto Sarò

2018 Garganega Saro' means "I will be," which makes reference to what this winery and their young vines will become. An energetic and mineral driven white, but with the depth and complexity of great Garganega. Meggiolaro’s Saro opens with refreshing aromas of pear blossoms, tarragon, Chablis-like flint and green melon. The wine is produced in the heart of Soave but Meggiolaro has decided that being involved in the Soave DOC is not for them. The wine comes from a tiny 1 hectare plot divided by a small country road. From one side to the other you find very diverse terroir; from the typical volcanic undertones Soave is famous for to a more calcareous/clay. These two sites come together in this wine. Organic
