2019 - 70 % Merlot & 30% Cabernet Sauvignon
The nose, although deeply set at this stage, seeps gravel, black truffle, damp soil and pure dark cherries. The mouth feel is intense, compact, fresh and balanced. There is plenty of dark, savory fruit with silky tannins. Too many inexpensive wines from Bordeaux lack this unique complexity that defines the region, and we were thrilled to discover this wine for this price.
The wine is raised in a mixture of concrete and wooden vessels with not much in the way of new oak used during élevage. Native yeast fermentation.
