Malvasia de Sitges is a strain of Malvasia specific to Sitges, located south of Barcelona. The grapes spend 10 days macerating on the skins after being crushed by foot, and are aged in clay tinajas, which are essentially spanish amphora. This wine is deep, with resinous aromatics. The pallet is full of stone fruit and herbal notes, with hints of grapefruit and ginger. One for fans of the more intense end of Italian skin contact.
