This red starts out smooth, displaying ripe black cherry and plum flavors, along with earth, iron and woodsy elements. Gains power as this builds on the palate, ending in an extended aftertaste of loam, iron and wild herb accents.
Surrounded by vast olive groves consisting of over three thousand trees, Bibbiano vineyards cover an overall area of about 25 hectares, at an altitude between 270 and 300 meters, distributed on the hillsides, with enviable exposure and excellent microclimate. Today’s owners, Tommaso and Federico Marrocchesi Marzi, are the fifth generation.
