Dried chaparral, pepper, inviting brambly fruit, herbal.  Martha's notes: Roger King's site has a lot of influence from the San Pablo Bay-thick morning fogs and high afternoon winds. This wine was whole cluster fermented cool with a month long maceration. It was aged on lees in neutral barrel for seven months and bottle aged for an additional 5 months. This wine has acidity and tannin to age, although is also perfectly approachable now.
