Franco Terpin works seven tiny vineyard sites, which are scattered on both sides of the border between Italy and Slovenia. This wine is made from Pinot Grigio in the local "ramato" style, which uses extended skin contact to obtain darker color and greater texture and complexity. This is the darkest ramato we've ever seen though... almost beet colored. On the palate, there is an explosion of fruit, floral and earth notes. Savory, fresh, bright and utterly delightful.
