Domaine Pierre Richard, Côtes du Jura Chardonnay Les Marnes

From 40 year old vines planted on on a bench of gray and blue marl. The vines come from 1ha and are hand-harvested with severe vineyard sorting. Maceration lasts six hours followed by spontaneous fermentation for five months with temperature control. The wine then spends 18 months on the lees with no battonage and then aged for 18 months in oak. Filtered.
