Cascina Garitina Barbera d'Asti Villalta

2018 - Barbera Founded in 1900, Cascina Garitina is a family-run farm, now in its fourth generation with Gianluca Morino, the current owner. The vineyard focuses specifically on Barbera, deploying organic farming and natural winemaking practices. This particular bottle is rich and earthy, with a depth dried fruit flavors like prunes and raisins, and undercurrents of leather and tobacco. It has a long earthy finish, offering velvety tannins as counterpart to the intensity of the fruit. Unfined and unfiltered. No added SO2.
