Micheal Voelker and Melanie Drese spent many years working other fields, traveling the world until 2013 when they returned to Kitzingen in Bavarian Germany and began taking over Michael’s father’s winery. They started to make natural wines under the 2naturkinder label as a side project for the winery, and have since decided to more fully expand the production. Michael has a particular interest in bats (if you couldn't tell) and sends 20 cents/bottle sold to a local nature conservatory studying bats' roles in the vineyard. He also obtains bat guano from this conservatory to use when fertilizer is required. This wine is made of mixed clusters of stemmed and destemmed grapes in the carbonic style.
